LG Electronics is planning to add few more G6 variants in Europe as the company has recently filed trademarks on terms “LG G6 Alpha” and “LG G6 Prime” with the necessary paperwork with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

It’s currently unclear whether G6 Alpha and G6 Prime are the names of upcoming LG smartphones because a number of previous G6 moniker turned out to be wearable devices. The term “Prime” was used many times before and normally suggests an upgraded model to existing phone.

LG G6 Alpha From the trademark filing screenshots, neither there isn’t any visual material attached nor it reveals the specifications. G6 Alpha documentation has a slightly revised version of G6 logo, which has the word ‘Alpha’ written in Greek letters.

All these G6 variants will be launched by the year-end because at Mobile World Congress next year (MWC 2018), the South Korea-based original equipment manufacturer(OEM) will introduce the flagship G7 smartphone. LG will definitely come up with an update on the same before.

LG G6 Prime

LG recently unveiled G6 Plus and LG G6 (32 GB) variant in its home country. It’s the new flagship phone for the company for the first time since the launch of G6 earlier this year at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017) earlier this year in Barcelona, Spain. Shortly after G6 Plus launch, reports of the company preparing for LG Q6 launch emerged. It’s essentially a mini version of its high-end phone and will have a smaller screen and downgraded hardware internals.
