Koobee, a China based smartphone vendor is preparing for a new smartphone under the name as Koobee F1. It was recently spotted on TENAA, FCC equivalent in China.
While passing through TENAA for approval, some of the specifications of the device has been revealed. Going through the Koobee F1 specifications, it comes with 5.7 inch 1440 x 720 pixels IPS display.
Under the hood, it’s powered by a Octa core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, however the chipset manufacturer isn’t known yet. It’s expected to be MediaTek chipset.
The flagship Koobee F1 will be available in two different variants based on storage and RAM. There will be standard 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage models.
It’s a dual SIM handset with dual standby and includes a micro SD card slot with 128 GB expansion possible.
In terms of optics, the device has 16 mega pixel rear camera and 8 mega pixel front facing camera. Sadly it runs on older Android 6.0 Marshmallow version out of the box. The latest of Android currently is Oreo.
The F1 has dimensions as 153.3 × 71.5 × 8.2 mm with weight of 173 grams. It’s backed by a 3000 mAh Lithium-ion battery. It supports GSM, CDMA, TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE, LTE FDD, WCDMA, CDMA 2000 network modes.
The handset price isn’t revealed but it will be available in two color variants of Golden Blue and Pink Black.
Regarding the availability of the devices, it will be limited for sale in China and maynot be launched in any other country. However you can purchase the unlocked handset from online dealers like JD.com, GearBest which provides worldwide shipping.
For every device to be sold in China, they should obtain TENAA certification and once the device gets listed on TENAA website, it’s confirmed to launch in the country unless and until the manufacturers pulls-out.
