James Cameron confirms Official Release Dates for ‘Avatar’ Sequels Starting in December 2020

Most awaited movie Avatar sequels got its release dates officially and it gave relief to the 20th Century Fox and James Cameron. The finalised dates are 18 December 2020 for “Avatar 2”. “Avatar 2” will open 17 December 2021 followed by “Avatar 3” for 20th December 2024 and finally “Avatar 4” in 19 December 2025 respectively.

The news got viral when the official Facebook page of Avatar movie flashed the notifications on Saturday 22nd April, along with the pictures of Director James Cameron and crew members.

Though these dates are safe with the movie but there is another movie series of Star Wars Saga which has stapled dates of Christmas every year.

The long awaited movie Avatar started its production of next four sequels after the announcement of official release dates. Now the movie will be ready to hit the theaters in 2020. The first part of the movie released in 2009 which is a science fiction film directed by James Cameron, and since then the production team and the industry were waiting for the sequels.

On December 18th, 2020, the first sequel will hit the cinema centres, yet the title is not decided and the rest of the film sequels will arrive in theaters in 2021 and 2025. Cameron post said “Great to be working with the best team in the business! Avatar takes flight as we begin concurrent production on four sequels”. As per Cameron each movie has its own stand and has individual meaning but the set of four sequels will make it a saga.

The worldwide record of the highest collection of around $2.8 billion is in the pocket of Avatar movie, released in 2009 and still remains unbeatable at the global box office.
