Gionee F100SL

A new Gionee smartphone has hit TENAA for approval. Dubbed as “Gionee F100SL“, the device has been certified by Chinese Telecom authority and will go on for sale after an official announcement. It happens to be either successor or a variant of Gionee F100 phone, which was launched in May 2016.

The Gionee F100SL TENAA listing reveals some of the technical specifications of the device. It will feature a 5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels HD resolution and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS based custom Amigo UI overlay on top. It has 294 PPI pixel density.

Under the hood, the device is powered by a quad core processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz and it’s coupled with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB native storage. It does have a micro SD card slot, supporting expandable memory up to 128 GB. It has a thickness of 8.15 mm and weighs 148 grams (approximately).

Coming to the optics, the listing says the device includes 5 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and 2 mega pixel front facing camera. It’s a dual SIM device with dual standby and supports TD-LTE / LTE-FDD / TD-SCDMA / WCDMA / CDMA 2000 / CDMA 1X / GSM networks bands.

A 2400 mAh battery keeps the device running for a day of normal usage.

The operating system version on the device is disappointing because nowadays you see Android Nougat commonly found on all phones. And cameras aren’t great either. This confirms that it’s an entry-level smartphone, expected to be priced at 599 Yuan.
