Hollywood has always made its way through the movie concept all around the world. Be it the new or old movies in Hollywood, they have made a distinguished mark in itself.
The most talked Hollywood movie – ‘Rampage‘ which is expected to be released early next year, has already set itself on the sectors of demand factor and the movie is believed to be based on the classic 1980s video game featuring apes and monsters destroying cities.
The story seems like an action-filled structure. The story includes the military springing into action when three gigantic, mutated monsters embark on a path of destruction.
The movie is reportedly directed by Brad Peyton, and is written by the team, Ryan Condal, Carlton Cuse, Ryan Engle, again, scripted by Ryan Engle.
The film is produced by Beau Flynn, Hiram Garcia, John Rickard and Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) along with the executive producers being Jeffrey Fierson, Dany Garcia, Marcus Viscidi and Garcia Brad Peyton(executive producer/producer). The cinematography is by Jaron Presant (has done cinematography for movies like ‘The Truth Below‘, Edited by Jim May, Production design by Barry Chusid. Apart from all these, there is a huge team that is into the visual effects and special effects.
The filming of the movie began on began on April 17, 2017 in Chicago Illinois Filming was once expected to begin right after Johnson had completed the movie ‘Fate of the Furious‘.
On March 30, 2012, THR confirmed that New Line had set Ryan Engle to adapt the video game and write the screenplay for the film. On June 23, 2015, it was reported by Deadline reported that Dwayne Johnson was set to star and re-team with New Line and producer Beau Flynn while the studio was looking for a director to start production in the mid-2016.
On July 22, 2015, it was reported that New Line was in talks with director Brad Peyton to direct and produce the film, which would center on three giant monsters, a gorilla, a lizard and a wolf, who wreak havoc on major cities in North America, with Johnson playing the role of a person to stop them.
In November 2016, two petitions were made to allow the bands Amon Amarth and Judas Priest to guest star in the film. Also in November 2016, Peyton spoke about the film that it would “be a lot more emotional, a lot scarier and a lot more real than you’d expect
The Rampage cast includes Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Malin Akerman, P.J Byrne, Marley Shelton, Joe Manganiello, Jack Quaid (is best known for portraying Marvel in the movie The Hunger Games), Jake Lacy, Jason Liles, Breanne Hill and others.
Rampage is scheduled to be released on April 20, 2018 in 3D and IMAX by New Line Cinema in the United States.
