Aamir Khan could not refuse the invitation sent by the singer Lata Mangeshkar at Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Awards. He was honoured with the special award for his role in the Dangal movie.

The Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan broke his own record of not being a part of any award shows at the time he attended the Master Dinananth Mangeshkar Awards function in Mumbai. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, give him the special award for the outstanding contribution to the Hindi cinema. He was selected for the recognition of biggest hits of 2016, Dangal.

The RSS chief Mr. Mohan Bhagwat was the chief of guest at the event. Apart from that personality like Kapil Dev & prominent actress Vyjayanthimala was honoured with the award for outstanding contribution to the Indian cricket team & achievements in Hindi cinema respectively.

“I was very happy with the invitation from Lata Mangeshkarji, I couldn’t say no”, said Aamir khan who took the pride to attended the awards show. Dangal director, Nitesh Tiwari with the entire team of Dangal pays gratitude to Lata Mangeshkar invitation & given a thankful speech for Master Dinanath Mangeshkar trust.

This event also commemorated the “Dinanath Mangeshkar’s” 75th death anniversary. The superstar Aamir Khan last time attended any award show 16 years ago at the time of Academy Awards when one of his movies Lagaan was nominated as the featured film in the category of “Best Foreign Language Film”.

On the other hand on the professional front, superstar Aamir Khan is soon going to be seen in movie “Secret Superstar” with the preparation for one more project in the pipeline ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ stars Amitabh Bachchan.
