‘Bahubali 2:The Conclusion’ becomes India Highest Grossing movie ever; First to reach ₹1000 Crore Club

As expected SS Rajamouli’s ‘Bahubali 2: The Conclusion’ becomes first India movie to gross ₹1000 Crore (US$ 160 million) at the Box Office. Released on April 28th worldwide in record 9000 theatres, every now and then broke several records at the box office.

SS Rajamouli’s epic film starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamanaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj has turned out to be biggest Indian film ever. The movie goes into the history books to achieve unique feat to cross the big billion mark. Infact the movie achieved this feat within 8 days of the release. It collected ₹ 800 crores in India and ₹200 crore in overseas market to achieve this feat. With the film still going houseful in all theatres in India, could accumulate atleast ₹500 crores more easily.

As per the records, it has already smashed more than 30 box office records within the first week of release itself. The movie earned Rs 500 crore through satellite rights before the release itself.

It just ticked over Aamir Khan’s PK with ₹792 crore, Dangal with ₹730 crore and Bajrangi Bhaijaan with ₹626 crores.

‘Bahubali: The Beginning’ was the prime reason for the success of ‘Bahubali 2: The Conclusion’ as the first part left many fans guessing for an answer to one question. Everyone was eager to find the answer for “Why Katappa Killed Bahubali” and they watched Bahubali 2. However, this is not the main reason why movie achieved success as film excels in quality graphics, story, and many other dimensions.
